Good support is hard to find. We're trying to change that.

Common Ground is a specialist, independent practice offering trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming psychotherapy and counselling for adults across the UK.

Maybe an ADHD, autism or AuDHD diagnosis has finally helped things click into place. Or maybe you’re still trying to make sense of why you feel so exhausted, why masking takes so much out of you, or why the same patterns keep showing up.

However you arrive here, you don’t need to have everything figured out first.

Good therapy starts by meeting you where you are — not by asking you to translate yourself into someone else’s framework. Here, you’re not reduced to a diagnosis, a symptom or a presenting problem. You’re recognised as a whole person, with your own history, relationships and way of experiencing the world.

Our Story

Common Ground was created because too many people struggle to find therapy that fits the way they think, feel, relate and experience the world.

Too often, people leave therapy feeling as though they've had to explain their neurodivergence from scratch, minimise parts of themselves to fit a particular model, or work with someone who understands techniques but not the complexity of their experience.

And even before therapy begins, finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Endless directories, vague profiles and long lists of specialisms can make it difficult to know who genuinely understands what you're looking for—or who might actually feel like the right fit.

So, we built something different.

Common Ground is a small, intentional practice where every therapist is carefully chosen for how they work, not just the qualifications they hold or the boxes they tick. Clear profiles, genuine expertise in working with neurodivergent adults, and thoughtful matching, so you're not left trying to work it all out alone.

Our Approach

While each therapist brings their own personality, experience and therapeutic approaches, every therapist at Common Ground shares the same core philosophy.

How We Can Help

There's no single right reason to reach out. Whether you're looking for therapy, support for your relationships, or a reflective space for your clinical work, we'll help you find the approach—and the therapist—that feels right for you.
